CCNB names Vedder as new CFO; Kinard named COO

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina –April 19, 2019 – Coastal Carolina National Bank named Russell A. Vedder as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. He succeeds Dawn Kinard, a 9-year veteran of the company as Chief Financial Officer, who was recently named CCNB’s Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer.

Bolchoz, Jr., CCNB’s President, and Chief Executive Officer. “We are incredibly fortunate to have such a deep bench of multi-talented, experienced bankers who can easily adapt and transition into new roles as our bank expands across the state,” says Bolchoz.

This June marks CCNB’s tenth anniversary. Since 2012, CCNB has grown from one branch to seven, serving South Carolina’s Grand Strand, the Midlands, and now the Upstate with the advent of the bank’s newest branch in Greenville which opened in May last year.

Russell’s strong financial background and well-rounded experience in community banking will allow him to move seamlessly into the CFO role Dawn Kinard held for nine years. Vedder has served the South Carolina banking industry for over ten years. Before joining CCNB, he was the president of a local bank. Russell began his career in public accounting specializing in financial institution audit and consulting. In 2006, Russell completed his undergraduate studies at Clemson University where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and received a master’s degree in accounting from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina in 2007. He is also a 2015 graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of South Carolina.

Russell enjoys serving his community through his local church and various board activities. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of Board of the Smith Medical Clinic which provides medical care for low income and uninsured patients and is affiliated with the South Carolina Bankers Association, The Independent Community Bankers Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Russell resides in Pawleys Island with his wife Stephanie and their three children.
