Coastal Carolina National Bank Opens in Myrtle Beach
Grand Strand’s Newest Community Bank Is Located On Oak Street In Myrtle Beach
Coastal Carolina National Bank has opened for business in Myrtle Beach. Located at 2305 Oak Street between the Founders Centre and The Myrtle Beach Convention Center, this locally-operated financial institution is offering a full-range of banking services designed to meet the specific needs of individuals and small and medium-sized businesses.
CCNB is guided by a community banking philosophy and focused on developing and nurturing long-term relationships with its customers. Its management team has deep roots in the Myrtle Beach community, as well as extensive experience in the banking industry.
“This is a great time to open a new community bank,” said Michael D. Owens, president and chief executive officer of CCNB. “Unlike other banks that are dealing with economic challenges and a weakened loan portfolio, we’re starting with a clean slate.”
Owens has more than 29 years of banking experience including 17 years with Wachovia Corporation. Other members of the CCNB management team are also seasoned bankers. Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer Joel Foster was with Coastal Federal Bank of Myrtle Beach for 20 years. Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Holly Schreiber has more than 24 years of experience with financial institutions. Chief Operations Officer and Senior Vice President Lisa James was with Coastal Federal for two decades. Mortgage Loan Manager and Senior Vice President Trina Dusenbury was with Coastal Federal Bank for 15 years and, later, with BB&T Mortgage.
CCNB offers a variety of traditional lending and deposit products, including equity lines and consumer loans to individuals and small to mid-sized businesses that are located or conduct their business in CCNB’s market.
CCNB services are delivered through a variety of channels, including online banking, remote deposit capture, and drive-through banking.
“The Grand Strand has a great economic future and we’re confident that we have created a bank that will provide small businesses and individuals with a higher level of service than the larger banks that have moved into our area,” said Owens. “As a ‘community bank,’ Coastal Carolina National Bank is a locally-operated financial institution and our staff is empowered to make local decisions to serve our customers.”
CCNB was founded by a group composed primarily of Myrtle Beach-area leaders who have lived and worked in Horry County for many years.
The organizers of the bank are William K. Bogache, M.D., Myrtle Beach; J. Egerton Burroughs, Murrells Inlet, S.C.; Chester A. Duke, Garden City, S.C.; Robin W. Edwards, Myrtle Beach; Henrietta U.
